Patriotism 

Here are some examples of the ways our chapter promotes patriotism:

• Sponsors Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) medals and scholarships for two leadership academies 

• Supports Walter Reed National Military Medical Center; Fisher House, Bethesda; and DAR services to veterans in the community and Veterans Administration (VA) centers 

• Volunteers with the local fire department

• Participates in naturalization ceremonies for new American citizens
